Healthcare Data Specialist

As a Healthcare Data Specialist **(will work hybrid/remote including at least 1+ days per week in office based on needs - must live in the DC/Bethesda area).**

**Bachelor's Degree Required**

**3+ years of experience in data analytics (internship can be included);**

** HEALTHCARE OR INSURANCE INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE REQUIRED**

**Must live in the DC/Bethesda area**

**Responsibilities**
- Work with data sets to address difficult, non-routine analysis problems using sound statistical approaches. Conduct end-to-end analysis that includes data gathering and requirements specification, processing, analysis, ongoing deliverables and presentations.
- Make business recommendations with effective presentations of findings at multiple levels of stakeholders through visual displays of quantitative information
- Research and develop analysis, forecasting, and optimization methods to improve the quality of company’s internal and external products

**Minimum Qualifications**
- BS degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., Data Science, Statistics), Computer Science or Business from an accredited 4-year College or University
- 3+ years of relevant work experience (e.g., as a data analyst, business analyst)
- Healthcare or Insurance industry experience
- Intermediate to Advanced MS Excel Experience (Pivot Tables, Functions/Formulas, Template Creation, etc.)
- Experience with Access
- Experience with SQL
- Ability to obtain a Public Trust Federal Government Security Clearance

**Preferred Qualifications**
- Experience articulating business questions and using mathematical techniques to arrive at an answer using available data. Experience translating analysis results into business recommendations.
- Experience working with database design and database languages (e.g., SQL)
