**Job Summary**:
The Work Study Student will support the Department of Art as a Studio Technician on the Statesboro Campus beginning Summer 2024.
**Student employees cannot work more than 1300 hours in a 12-consecutive month period.**

**Responsibilities**:
- Assists the Studio Technician in art/design studios
- Uses basic hand and/or power tools
- Follows safety procedures when handling art
- Runs campus errands
- Stages and cleans up for gallery events
- Responsible for transporting various materials and artwork.
- Performs general studio and lab maintenance
- Performs general administrative tasks: transfers calls, files documents, and paperwork
- Secures space at the end of shift (shutting down equipment, wiping down surfaces, and locking doors)
**Shift Specifics**
- Up to 17 hours per week
- Flexible with schedule of availability
- Shifts available Monday - Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM
**Required Qualifications**:
**Educational Requirements**
- Must be enrolled in six or more undergraduate credit hours at Georgia Southern University.
**Other Required Qualifications**
- Must be Federal Work eligible.
**Preferred Qualifications**:
**Preferred Education**
- Currently pursing a degree in Art, Graphic Design or related field
**Preferred Experience**
- Familiarity with tools and art literacy
**Proposed Salary**:
$10.00 per hour
