**Primary Duties and Responsibilities**:
Coordinate the delivery of the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) initial counseling, perform administrative and promotional activities of the SBDC and provide general business counseling activities under SBDC Program.
- Counsel small business clients on general business and management issues including technical assistance in financial, business plans and marketing.
- Conduct research to assist client base from acceleration to their growth.
- Develop, schedule and deliver seminar and workshop presentations, as necessary and appropriate virtual.
- Assist SBDC Manager in developing budgets and goals.
- Act as initial point of contact for all communication and support to client base, program trainers and resource providers.
- Develop, schedule and implement annual planning strategies which includes organizing resources and developing a logical sequence of seminars, conference and workshops relative to overall small business assistance within all topical areas.
- Market the SBDC program to businesses within District 502, Will and Kane Counties as specific in the Illinois Department of Commerce & Economic Opportunity grant.
- Coordinate and execute room request, facilities request, supply/material orders within the office facility and main college campus.
- Working within the College ASTRA scheduling system, Centralized Scheduling and Facilities and Custodial Operations as necessary.
- Coordinate, develop and implement for the SBDC program marketing information, including programming annual calendar and topical seminar brochures and flyers.
- Maintain Business Development Center client mailing lists and databases.
- Identify, interview and execute a vetting process for SBDC resource provider vendors to be utilized.
- Maintain all client files in the grant identified proprietary system.
- Attend training sessions and staff meetings as required by the DCEO grant agency, Business Development Center or as approved by the SBDC Program Manager, as funds are available.
- Other related duties as assigned.

**Qualifications**:

- Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field required.
- Experience
- Three years experience in an office environment, working with internal and external customers required.
- Ability to work autonomously with limited supervision required.
- Ability to multi-task with frequent interruptions required.
- Five (5) years experience in a business development agency or small business management capacity and excellent organizational skills preferred.

**Working Conditions**:

- Standard office equipment and software, including MSOffice proficiency.
- Primarily office environment and sedentary in nature.
- Flexible work schedule is required for events occurring outside of normal work hours.
- Must be able to occasionally lift a maximum of 50 lbs.
- Valid Illinois driver's license is required.
- Could require interstate and intrastate travel.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for counseling situations and telephone inquiries.
- This position requires a background check and drug screen.

**Hiring Range**:
Classified 12 Salary/52,000.00 - 54,000.00
