Under the supervision of the Housekeeping Manager and the Director of Facilities, the housekeeper will perform and oversee routine housekeeping duties in and around the museum's facilities; maintain a clean and orderly appearance of the museum's public and office areas; and other related work as assigned. Schedule will vary and will require weekend work and some evenings.

The goal is to attend to the museum and its facilities with integrity and attention to detail.

The hourly pay for this position is $ 15.00/hr

**Critical Job Functions**
- Must be friendly, upbeat, be able to interact positively with visitors and work well with other employees
- Must display a positive attitude, eagerness to learn and a professional image in compliance with museum guidelines
- Must have reliable transportation to and from work for scheduled shifts
- Be able to speak and understand the English language, bi-lingual applicants are welcome to apply

**Working Conditions**
- Work flexible hours including days, evenings, and holidays, weekends are required.
- Work in a combination of indoor and outdoor weather conditions
- Physical requirements include standing, sitting, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting up to 30 pounds
- Constant positive contact with other employees and visitors

Applicants with prior successful experience of one year in the housekeeping/janitorial field shall receive priority consideration. While English-speaking skills are required, bi-lingual applicants are welcome to apply.
