Duties & Responsibilities
- Graduate/Professional Advising- Advise graduate students in the architecture curriculum on all aspects of the graduate program, including but not limited to plan of study, concentrations, fellowships, and CPT.
- Liaison with the Graduate College to implement and update all graduate processes and policies and process all graduate paperwork in consultation with the Director of Graduate Studies and the graduate college.
- Advise graduate students on transitioning from the academy to finding career opportunities and related information about internships, full-time positions, leadership, employer engagement, and career exploration.
- Advise and support international students through knowledge of the H1B Visa, CPT, OPT processes and inform them of the standards and practices of recruitment, language requirements, development, and international career management.
- Be the School’s NCARB Licensing Advisor and contact person for the School with regards to NCARB, AIA, AIAS, and Firms.

Graduate Administration
- Coordinate and lead the Career Expo including, but not limited to, contacting firms, setting dates, contracting with venues, planning catering, transportation, printed and digital materials, resumes, portfolios, mock interviews, and cover letter workshops in collaboration with faculty, Campus Career Services, and the alumni network.
- Lead the implementation of strategic career development programming that overlaps academic experience and professional development to support prospective and current students effectively.
- Develop and maintain relationships with college and campus stakeholders to enhance career integration.
- Coordinate and attend, as necessary, Recruiting Events and Information sessions multiple times a semester.

Outreach and Communications
- Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies in consultation with the Director to promote the School’s programs, accomplishments, and events.
- Write and edit content for press releases, blog posts, newsletters, and other communication materials.
- Ensure consistent brand messaging across all communication channels.

Position Qualifications
- Required

- Bachelor’s Degree, preference in Architecture, Engineering, Construction, or related field.
- Architecture professional work with a minimum of two years of career development experience, practice, or higher-ed education (teaching and/or advising) including evidence of developing and implementing a vision for student success.
- Preferred-_
- Experience with information technology, including the use of social media in the delivery of service to students.- Must demonstrate leadership and advising skills.
- Knowledge of career development and job search strategies, along with advising and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, good teamwork skills and initiative.
- Ability to work with people of diverse cultures and backgrounds.
- Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of business careers in the United States as well as Asia, China, and across the globe.
- Must be able to travel.
- Proven success creating and sustaining an inclusive and student-centered focus on providing career development services and resources
- Proven success in collecting and interpreting data, reporting on outcomes, and engaging in data-driven evidence-based practices
- Excellent interpersonal skills especially those in the areas of collaboration, alumni outreach, development, conflict resolution, problem-solving and decision making
- Strong organization and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple time-sensitive priorities and constituents
