**YOUR FUTURE TEAM**

As part of TCEQ’s Office of Waste, you would contribute to agency efforts to regulate the generation, treatment, storage, and disposal of various wastes and the cleanup of contaminated sites. See details about what we do.

This position is a member of our Remediation Division.

**HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING**...
- Administer and direct the programs of the Remediation Division, which includes Leaking Petroleum Storage Tank Program, Dry Cleaner Remediation Program, Voluntary Cleanup and Corrective Action, Superfund and Natural Resource Damage Assessment program. Manage personnel and programs effectively to meet performance and communication objectives, as well as ensures management controls are in place to provide sufficient oversight.
- Represent the agency at meetings, conferences, and legislative hearings. Communicate regulatory and technical information concerning division responsibilities to agency executive management, federal and state officials, and internal and external stakeholders.
- Evaluate state and federal regulatory developments and proposed legislation as they impact division operations.
- Direct personnel management functions, including hiring, staff development, performance management.
- Oversee and manage all aspects of the division budget, assuring proper monitoring, allocation, and expenditure of funds; assures proper management of Division contracts.
- Serve as division contact to the Agency Records Management program concerning records retention, storage, access, and destruction.

**Qualifications**

**EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE**

Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major course work in a field relevant to assignment.

**OR**

Experience in the management of a business function, division, or department to include professional management experience where primary duties consists of planning organizing, controlling, and directing the work of an organization or formal subdivision, or team.

**OR**

Experience as a special assistant to a TCEQ director or deputy director developing management policies and directing/evaluating operations.
