**What the Role Involves**:
We are looking for a Manager, Engineering who will be responsible for leading a team of engineers that provides specialized refrigeration engineering support for specific After Market Services (AMS) customers/projects. This individual will be the expert to support and manage the whole Engineering department needs and future planning in accordance with The AMS Team business goals. This position will responsible for leading and developing the Scope of Work, Engineering Legends, Refrigeration Drawings, parts lists, equipment selection, and technical summaries. This role will ensure that we meet our customer’s needs and help them with troubleshooting. This person will also be responsible for collaborating with leaders from multiple functions to resolve challenges and develop processes to ensure the company’s success.
- Lead the engineering function and team for the AMS Team and customers.
- Managing tasks and requirements of the team members
- Act as a technical expert for the engineering team both internally and with customers
- Set, monitor and drive goals and objectives for the team & the members themselves
- Manage and lead installation and product cost reductions, design changes and improvements
- Develop, improve, and implement processes and procedures for the department
- Direct and ensure the development of team members through training
- Prepare budgets and cost estimates for the Engineering services
- Review and recommend equipment, tools, and software for department
- Ensure the quality of the team is meeting DFR-AMS, industry, and governmental standards
- Learning and participating in new technologies and new products
- Representing the team in customer meetings
- Performing site surveys and site walks when needed
- Lead major projects for his team and delegate tasks effectively to the team
- Work collaboratively with managers from other groups
- Prepare annual evaluations of team members
- Recommend personnel actions including hiring, promoting, terminating or discipline
- Open to travel for site visits, conferences, internal team meetings, trainings and customer meetings. (up to 20% travel)

**Basic Qualifications**:

- B.S. in Engineering
- 5+ years of Supermarket and/or Industrial Refrigeration experience
- Professional Engineer (PE) designation preferred
- Working knowledge of field aspects of refrigeration systems, understanding the refrigeration cycle and components used on refrigeration systems.
- Strong people leadership skills with proven ability in developing team members
- Motivated self-starter with an attention to detail
- Strong analytical and multitasking skills
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- MS suite experience with strong Excel skills
- AutoCad and/or SolidWorks experience preferred
- Goal establishment, tracking, evaluation, and adjustment to achieve desired results
