**Job Title**: Encapsulation Machine Operator (Level 1/2)

**Department**: Manufacturing

**Reports To**: Production Supervisor

**Summary**:
The Encapsulation Machine Operator is responsible for the efficient and safe operation of tamping machines in the manufacturing process. This role involves setting up, operating, and troubleshooting the equipment to produce high-quality encapsulated products.

**Responsibilities**:

- **Machine Operation**:

- Set up and adjust tamping machines according to product specifications and production schedules.
- Monitor machine performance, identify and resolve issues to ensure smooth operation and prevent downtime.
- Operate machines at optimal speed and efficiency, adhering to quality standards and safety protocols.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning tasks to keep machines in good working condition.
- **Quality Control**:

- Inspect encapsulated products for defects, ensuring they meet established quality standards.
- Record production data, such as output, waste, and machine performance metrics.
- Identify and report quality issues to supervisors or quality control personnel.
- **Safety**:

- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines, wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Report any safety hazards or incidents immediately to supervisors.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.

**Qualifications**:

- **Education**: High school diploma or equivalent.
- **Experience**:

- Level 1: Entry-level position, no prior experience required. On-the-job training provided.
- Level 2: 1-2 years of experience operating tamping machines or similar equipment in a manufacturing environment.
- **Skills**:

- Mechanical aptitude and basic troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

**Additional Information**:

- **Work Environment**: This position involves working in a manufacturing facility with exposure to noise, dust,and moving machinery.
- **Schedule**: This position is Monday through Friday 8:30-5:30
