Overview:
We are seeking a middle and high school Science Teacher to join our team.

Our rigorous science program is classical in its approach. Our science education philosophy centers around understanding the beauty and wonder of the natural world.

Science at a classical school means:
1. Scientific knowledge for its own sake. Science is approached with respect for the knowledge that has been gained. Science is not studied solely for the acquisition of technical skills to be used for economic means. Science education is much more than just preparing students to work in a global economy. It is the innate human desire to learn and understand how the universe works through careful, systematic investigation.

2. Rigorous standards both in content rich curriculum, observation and experiment.

3. Classical science is steeped in historical context allowing for a narrative quality in the instruction, allowing students to understand how science progresses and appreciate the field as a human endeavor.

4. Scientific findings are communicated through clear, concise and well written observations.

Full-time and part time positions are available with with competitive pay and benefits.

**Experience**:

- Bachelor's degree in Education or related field (Master's degree preferred)
- Teaching certification in Math or Science
- Proven track record teaching science at the middle or high school level
- Strong knowledge of science curriculum standards
