**NOTE**:This position will collaborate with team members two days per week at the downtown San Francisco Corporate Office. During the training period, could be more days per week per business needs.

**Role**

Under general direction, conducts analysis and interpretation related to the organization's compensation programs and workforce.

**Essential Responsibilities**
- Maintains and updates compensation databases and systems.
- Maintains union rate tables and updates accordingly and timely.
- Evaluates and classifies the organization's jobs, documenting responsibilities and requirements in job descriptions.
- Conducts market analysis of company jobs to determine the competitive positioning of the organization's pay programs.
- Administers and supports the annual performance management incentive and salary increase programs.
- Prepares compensation budgets and forecasts.
- Analyzes compensation data and trends to provide insights and recommendations.
- Prepares and presents reports on compensation activities and outcomes.
- Assists in the development and implementation of compensation policies and structures.
- Ensures accuracy and integrity of compensation data within HRIS systems.
- Assists in developing communication materials to explain compensation programs and policies to employees.
- Participates in or leads special compensation strategy, administration, and people analytics projects.
- Collaborates and works closely with other teams such as payroll, finance, and regional People & Culture team members.
- Ensures compensation practices comply with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Maintains up-to-date knowledge of legal standards and regulations affecting compensation.
- Provides expertise and guidance on compensation-related issues and initiatives.
- Contributes organizational data to and analyzes results of compensation surveys.
- Continuously seeks process improvements and efficiencies in compensation practices.
- Other duties as assigned

**Qualifications**
Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to qualify is:

- 2 to 4 years of experience in compensation management.
- Possesses comprehensive knowledge of compensation practices.
- Experience creating insightful PowerPoint presentations and dashboards.
- High school diploma.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- HRIS System (JD Edwards) and query report writing (Hubble) experience preferred.
- A Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) is preferred.
- Analytical thinking skills. Mathematical skills.
- Ability to handle problems in straightforward situations using experience and judgment.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Effective written and verbal communication and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Project management skills with attention to detail to get things done accurately.
- Ability to present information effectively.
- Internal and external customer-first mentality.
- Proven ability to maintain confidential and sensitive information.
