Venue Manager

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Venue Manager to help with the operations of our outdoor wedding venue. The Assistant Venue Manager will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of day-to-day tasks, assisting the General Manager and Venue Manager, coordinating events, and delivering exceptional customer service.

**Duties**:
Support Event and Wedding Management
- Assist in managing the event and wedding schedule, including bookings and communications with hosts and inquiries.
- Help with contract reviews, payment management, and ensuring deadlines are met.
- Maintain and update event and wedding spreadsheets alongside the Venue Manager.
- Assist with events held at the venue, ensuring they run smoothly and efficiently.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization throughout the venue.

Document and Handbook Maintenance
- Assist in the upkeep of the Venue Handbook, including updating protocols, instructions, and pricing.
- Help create and update support videos for the handbook.
- Maintain the physical handbook binder and ensure all documents and spreadsheets are current.

Vendor and Guest Communication
- Support in maintaining relationships with preferred vendors, including annual reviews and updates based on feedback.
- Assist in updating guest information documents and venue maps.

Marketing and Research Support
- Regular posting on Social Media platforms to promote weddings & events
- Proper tagging or collaborative mentions for photographers or persons included in photos/media used
- Aid in keeping local listings updated and in researching marketing opportunities.
- Support in managing social media highlights and collaborations with vendors for promotions.
- Support with ideas and writing-ups for blogs and social media posts to improve SEO.
- Support in vendor communication and requests for highlight exchanges

Event Communication Coordination
- Help ensure timely responses to all event-related inquiries and maintain organized communication streams.

Event Staff Training and Management
- Assist in training new staff on event procedures and checklists.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in the wedding/venue field is not required but preferred
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on creating memorable experiences for guests.
- Proficiency in report writing and analyzing data to drive decision-making, experience with SEO and social media platforms
- Knowledge of events management practices
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: From $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24 - 34 per week
