- Performs experimental procedures involving preparation of reagents, bacterial cell culture, microscopy, and molecular biology.
- Gathers, organizes, and records data. Analyzes experimental results. Tries out new protocols and methodologies into work as directed by PI and/or senior lab staff.
- Orders lab supplies, handles shipping, replenishes common lab reagents, and maintains orderly records of these activities.
- Participation in weekly group meetings and departmental seminars.
- Maintains a safe and orderly lab environment. Ensures compliance with safety regulations.
- Some molecular biology experience is a plus.
- Knowledge and/or interest in learning computational techniques and basic scripting (R, Python, Matlab) is a plus.**Minimum Education and/or Work Experience**
