**Position**:Admissions Coordinator

**Salary**: $22/hr

**Role Overview**:
As an Admissions Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring a smooth and efficient admissions process. You will liaise with hospitals, referral sources, family members, and our interdisciplinary team to guarantee a seamless transition for new residents. Additionally, you will support marketing efforts to maintain and grow our daily census.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Communicate promptly with hospitals and referral sources
- Coordinate with family members and the interdisciplinary team to streamline admissions
- Collaborate with the marketing team to enhance and maintain census growth
- Monitor and identify operational areas affecting admissions; report and assist in resolving issues
- Support marketing outreach by attending events to build relationships and enhance the facility's image
- Explain visitor and guest privileges, restrictions, and resident care procedures
- Establish and maintain relationships with local hospitals, physicians, and community organizations
- Ensure accurate financial verification before admission
- Maintain knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid/Managed Care reimbursement processes
- Complete and report monthly statistics

**Requirements**:

- Proficiency in Medicare requirements and insurance providers (e.g., PDPM, HMO rules, Medicare prescription plans)
- Familiarity with EMR software systems
- Knowledge of CMS guidelines, DOH regulations, and various insurance policies
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Existing relationships with local hospitals preferred
