Ophthalmic Technician

Experience in optometry or ophthalmology is required. Willing to provide competitive compensation for experienced technicians with refraction and slit lamp skills.

Responsibilities include:

- Working up patients by checking vision and intraocular pressure.
- Running diagnostic tests: visual fields, OCT, fundus photos, autorefraction, corneal topography, and optical biometry.
- Setting up and preparing patients for laser procedures.
- Assisting in surgery scheduling.
- Maintaining cleanliness of exam lanes and diagnostic rooms.
- Preparing charts in the electronic medical record.
- Obtaining a basic medical history.
- Cross trained for basic front desk duties.
- Medication refills.
- Refraction and slit lamp skills are a plus and preferred.

Pay: $23.00 - $26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
