**Position Overview**:
The Group Teacher and Reception Assistant will primarily handle supervisory duties and manage front desk responsibilities. This role involves overseeing Lead Teachers and Teacher Assistants, ensuring adherence to the curriculum, and managing reception tasks. The Group Teacher will only be in the classroom as needed for coverage. **Responsibilities include**:

- Supervising Lead Teachers and Teacher Assistants
- Ensuring compliance with curricular plans and educational standards
- Building supportive relationships with staff, parents, and students
- Handling reception tasks such as greeting visitors, answering phones, and managing inquiries

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum of 2 years of experience in early childhood education
- Associate Degree in Education or current CDA certification (Bachelor’s Degree preferred)
- Strong understanding of child development and educational methods
- Excellent time management, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Bilingual English & Spanish preferred
- Able to lift up to 45 pounds multiple times per day
- Willingness to submit to background checks
- CPR, First Aid, and Blood Borne Pathogen certification or ability to obtain upon hire
- Available to work full-time, including as late as 6:00 pm

**Responsibilities**:

- Supervise and support Lead Teachers and Teacher Assistants
- Ensure compliance with Tiny Steps' curriculum and educational standards
- Serve as a positive role model and mentor for teaching staff
- Foster a positive and professional environment
- Manage front desk operations, including greeting visitors, answering phones, and handling inquiries
- Ensure a welcoming and organized reception area
- Assist in classrooms as needed for coverage
- Uphold Tiny Steps' values and comply with childcare laws

**License/Certification**:

- CPR Certification (preferred)
- Associate Degree in Education or Child Development Associate Certification (preferred)
