As a Recreation Assistant in a long-term care facility, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for residents by assisting with recreational and leisure activities. Your primary responsibility is to create a positive and engaging environment that promotes socialization, mental stimulation, and physical well-being for residents. The Recreation Assistant works closely with the Recreation Director to plan and implement a variety of programs tailored to meet the unique needs and interests of the residents.

Responsibilities (**Activities Assistant**):

- Invite and assist residents in the activity of their choice
- Document in residents’ charts according to State and Federal regulations
- Assist in planning, layout, and distribution of monthly resident newsletter
- Assist in scheduling movies, planning activities, and providing games for residents
- Deliver mail, flowers, and other items to residents in a timely manner
- Knowledge of and complies with the Corporate Compliance Program

Qualifications (**Activity Assistant**):

- High School Diploma
- Activity Assistant experience preferred
