We are looking for a **Strategic Finance Associate** to join **immediately in-person in San Francisco / Greater Bay Area.**

**Responsibilities**:

- Serve as the analytical backbone of the company's strategic finance team, providing insights for future growth and strategy
- Report directly to the Head of Finance and CEO as the second hire in Mitra Chem's lean full-time finance team
- Provide cross-functional support with exposure to all aspects of the business
- Allocate 30-50% of time to FP&A and IR activities, including:

- Managing accounting and billing teams
- Support Head of Finance in investor and board reporting
- Handling internal procurement and negotiations with larger vendors
- Conducting headcount forecasting and planning
- Performing monthly budgeting and re-forecasting
- Allocate majority of time to strategic activities, such as:

- Building and managing operational and projection models for the overall business
- Engaging with investors for equity, debt, non-dilutive grant capital, and project finance fundraising
- Supporting fundraising efforts through investor pipeline management, data room creation, diligence responses, and returns / JV modeling
- Assisting in supplier and customer contract negotiations
- Tackling other strategic challenges that arise during the course of business
- This role will have a fast growth path for the right individual who would like to own the operational side of finance with a desire to grow into the strategic side quickly

Qualifications:

- 3+ years of professional Finance experience with a preference for investment banking, private credit, or private equity
- Bachelor's degree in related field or relevant work experience
- Comprehensive understanding of financial principles, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling (key requirement)
- Ability to deconstruct often time ambiguous and complex problems, and drive to a data-driven and process driven solution
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced setting while keeping a high bar of accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong negotiation and deal acumen
- Relentless sense of ownership, curiosity, and initiative and a self-starter mindset
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally for work

The following represents the expected range of compensation for this role:

- The estimated base salary range for this role is $120,000 - $165,000.
