We are looking for an enthusiastic hands-on Center Director to manage our Redwood City location. You will grow as a professional with the training you will receive on our proprietary programs, our curriculum which incorporates the latest child development research, and our eclectic philosophy which is carefully designed help all our students succeed.

**Primary Responsibilities Include**:
The Center Director will be responsible for the overall administration and operational management of the center. Some job responsibilities include (but are not limited to) the following:

- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the effective operation of the center.
- Hire, train, supervise, and inspire a team of passionate and committed teachers.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Ensure a safe and secure environment at the center and implementing emergency procedures as needed.
- Stay informed about licensing regulations and ensure compliance with state and local requirements.
- Deliver high-quality programs and curriculum as provided by the Safari Kid Corporate Team.
- Foster positive relationships with parents, encouraging open communication.
- Manage the enrollment processes, including tours, admissions, registrations, and maintaining accurate records.
- Maintain appropriate and accurate records related to attendance, student progress, and other relevant information.
- Create a culture of being a safe and loving school not only for children but for teachers and staff as well.

**Key Requirements**:

- Minimum 3 years leadership experience managing a preschool/childcare center
- Minimum 5 years early childhood education experience
- Organization and time management skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and childcare management software
- Pass background check and proof of immunization & health criteria
- Knowledge of state and educational licensing requirements.

**Compensation**:
Safari Kid offers a very competitive salary and benefits package including health insurance, dental insurance, paid time off and 401K.

The role also offers a handsome bonus compensation.

**Minimum Qualifications**:
Child Care Center Directors are preferred to have a BA in Early Childhood development but may also qualify in one of the following ways:

- **12 ECE units covering Child Development; Child, Family, and Community; and preschool curriculum.**:

- Plus 3 units of Administration of Preschool
- Plus 4 years teaching experience* in a licensed day care facility

OR
- **A.A. in Child Development or ECE**:

- Plus 3 units of Administration of Preschool
- Plus 2 years teaching experience* in a licensed day care facility

OR
- **B.A. in Child Development or ECE**:

- Plus 3 units of Administration of Preschool
- Plus 1 year teaching experience* in a licensed day care facility

OR
- **Program Director or Site Supervisor Permit from Dept. of Teacher Credentialing**

Pay: From $65,000.00 per year
