The School is committed to developing student competence and confidence in academic, social and independent living skills.Riverview offers:A supportive, collaborative learning and teaching environmentExcellent mentoring and supportInnovative programing with opportunities to pilot new ideas and approaches Job Description Develop and implement an age appropriate art curriculumProvide instruction through differentiated lesson plans that support and encourage skill development in the visual artsUse daily student learning data to reflect on skill development and adjust instruction as neededFoster creative expression using skills and techniques of artistic expression appropriate to the students areas of interest and abilities.Teach a wide variety of art mediums to young people.Build a classroom culture in which students love art and feel safe to express themselves and take risks through their artistic expression.Arrange exhibitions and displays of student work, both on campus and in the community.Work collaboratively with classroom teachers to support curriculum and learning.Partner with other creative and performing art team members in organizing school wide art events, including creating sets, props, and materials for an annual school musical.Full time position with opportunity to extend hours through after school activities.
