General Labor - Trainer
Department: CA Distribution
Location: Whittier, CA
This member of the Distribution Center team reports to the department Supervisor. This individual is responsible for training new employees and will ensure employees are performing their duties correctly in compliance with policies and procedures. Ensuring they maintain quality and productivity expectations.
Major Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Train new employees in safety equipment operation, policies, and procedures.
- Responsible for the safety, quality, and productivity of all trainees.
- Clearing area of empty boxes and trash
- Palletizing of completed orders and pack-outs
- Placing completed orders onto the conveyer
- Filling active cases into locations
- Sweeping of “beads” and debris
- Preparing orders for shipment
- Other duties as assigned
Essential Skills:
- Excellent interpersonal, team building, and follow-up skills
- Safety and quality-oriented
- Ability to lead and motivate
- Ability to multitask and work well with others
- Must be accurate and detail-oriented
- Ability to handle difficult situations and work well under pressure
**Requirements**:
- Minimum of 1-year experience including warehouse/distribution and use of RF Scanner
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to all levels of Management
- Ability to identify and solve problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- Bilingual is preferred. The ability to communicate in English is required.

- Able to lift up to 35 pounds - _Proper lifting techniques required_

- Frequent grasping, pushing, pulling, fine manipulation, and repetitive hand movements
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus
