**SUMMARY**:
Since its founding as a teen drop-in center in 1972, Community Solutions (CS) has grown in both depth and breadth of services in response to the growing and changing needs in the community. As one of the most comprehensive nonprofit human services agencies in Santa Clara County and the surrounding areas, CS provides prevention, intervention, treatment, and residential services to more than 6,400 clients annually, helping them overcome the challenges posed by mental health issues, substance abuse, trauma, severe family dysfunction, sexual and domestic violence, and human trafficking.
Under general supervision of the Program Director, the Clinical Supervisor is responsible for clinical oversight and supervision of the agency’s Intern Program, BBS supervision and clinical training. This position requires frequent use of independent judgment and discretion, as well as a high degree of skill in clinical practice, work organization, professionalism and communication. Position will utilize Reflective Supervision with staff and interns and will facilitate trainings sessions in alignment with best practices in adult learning theory and agency Training Division goals; and display professional communication and conduct working collaboratively with agency program staff and public and community-based partners.
Education and Experience: Master’s Degree in marriage and family therapy or social work required; minimum of four years full-time direct care experience with individuals with mental illness and/or substance use disorders. Experience supervising interns/trainees in accordance with BBS regulations and teaching preferred.
Knowledge: Clinical treatment and rehabilitation of individuals with mental illness; State, Federal and BBS regulations and compliances; SCCMHD regulations and compliance preferred. Training and providing feedback to staff; monitoring treatment services; maintenance of clinical records and systems; Knowledge of adult learning theory and best practices in the training facilitation required; computer proficiency required.
Special Requirements: Must be able to meet and receive a criminal record clearance as required by specific programs, funding requirements and licensing regulations. Positions require an automobile to perform routine job duties. Must demonstrate knowledge of laws and ethical standards pertaining to quality clinical care. Experience in Reflective Practice, Reflective Supervision and Trauma-Informed Care, preferred.
License: Current California Licensure from the Board of Behavioral Science Examiners as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). A valid CA driver’s license or ability to obtain CDL, current car insurance and a good driving record as documented by a DMV report and consistent with the Agency’s liability insurance requirements is required.
**What You'll Be Doing in the role of Clinical Program Supervisor - Residential**:
- Assists with development, implementation and facilitation of integrated education, professional development, and training for all agency staff and community partners.
- Facilitates individual and group clinical supervision to assigned interns, trainees and behavioral health staff in compliance with BBS regulations.
- Provide Reflective Supervision group sessions for interns, trainees, behavioral health staff and Program Managers.
- Clinical supervision will encompass all aspects of mental health service: (e.g., intake/assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, treatment interventions, documentation, case management, consultation and case closing).
- Assist clinical staff with crisis intervention.
- Consult with other staff and/or interns on clinical issues as needed.
- Provides timely performance feedback to assigned interns and trainees and maintains appropriate communication with Clinical L&D Manager, appropriate program leadership and educational institutions.
- Provides clinical supervision coverage for other clinical supervisors.
- Maintains supervision records and completes monthly log of supervision hours.
- Maintains positive and effective relationships with agency service departments and community agencies to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Attends and participates in Agency and team meetings as required.
- Successfully completes all assigned training within the required time frame.
- Utilizes personal or agency vehicles for company business, as needed.
