The goal of the Admissions Coordinator is to report to the Executive Director, the Admissions Coordinator is responsible for working directly with prospective clients, their families and other referral sources on inquiry admission calls and preliminary screening.

Overview:
**Responsibilities**:

- Development and fostering of working relationships with other SUD treatment programs and maintains contacts and communication with various agencies and organizations to increase referrals.
- Interviews prospective clients to obtain personal and financial data to determine eligibility and the appropriateness of admission and treatment. This includes (VOB) Verification of Benefits to ensure full understanding of their financial obligations. Ensures that clinical and financial screening have been met prior to admission.
- Attends to telephone inquiries from clients and other referral sources and completes the admissions process which may include transportation to intake.
- Creates the clients Electronic Health Record as part of the admissions process and is responsible for management of data.
- Performs crisis intervention sessions for clients or their families who are seeking treatment.
- Maintains and provides a list of community referrals for clients who do not meet the admission criteria.
- Communication and coordination with Clinical Director regarding prospective intakes.
- Ensures compliance with local, state and federal confidentiality laws and regulations.
- Attends and participates in all required staff meetings and trainngs.
- Promotes the core values of Sonas Recovery and Wellness Center and acts as a role model for others.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/ CREDENTIALS:

- Minimum of 2 year's experience in SUD treatment admissions
- Bachelor’s degree preferred*
- Familiarity with medical terminology and administrative procedures
- Knowledge of Alleva or similar electronic health record systems is a plus
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with patients and staff

Pay: $26.00 - $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
