St. Philip Lutheran School (2500 W Bryn Mawr Ave, Chicago) is a private PreK - 8th day school bordering the Arcadia Terrace/West Ridge neighborhood - a lovely residential area on the far north side of Chicago.

Main Responsibilities:

- Nurture the JOY of learning -- joy of reading, joy of math, joy of discovery -- every day
- Plan and execute lessons well; administer appropriate assessments and grade accordingly; communicate grades accordingly
- Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Manage student behavior and ensure a safe learning environment
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to ensure continuity of instruction

**Skills**:

- Strong knowledge of child development and educational principles
- Some experience working with elementary-aged children desired (student teaching acceptable)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, flexibility, and adaptability in a small classroom setting
- Familiarity with differentiated teaching strategies is a plus
- As St. Philip is faith-based school, we seek a teacher who is a Christian.

Salary Range - $40K - $43K/annual plus med and retirement benefits

Pay: $40,000.00 - $43,000.00 per year
