Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and Biller to join our team to help us with Durable medical equipment billing. As a Biller, you will be responsible for accurately processing and submitting medical claims and invoices. Your role will involve working with medical coding systems, ensuring compliance with billing regulations, and maintaining accurate records. Responsibilities: - Review and verify patient information for accuracy and completeness - Assign appropriate medical codes (ICD-10) to diagnoses and procedures - Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies electronically or by mail - Follow up on unpaid or denied claims and resubmit as necessary - Process payments received from insurance companies and patients - Maintain accurate records of billing activities, including invoices, payments, and adjustments - Collaborate with medical office staff to resolve billing issues or discrepancies - Stay up-to-date with changes in medical coding systems and billing regulations Skills: - Proficient in medical coding systems (ICD-10) and terminology - Strong knowledge of medical billing processes and procedures - Familiarity with medical collection practices - Excellent attention to detail and accuracy - Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Effective communication skills, both verbal and written Requirements: - Previous experience in medical billing or related field preferred - Knowledge of DRG (Diagnosis Related Group) coding is a plus - Proficiency in using billing software/systems - High school diploma or equivalent required; certification in medical billing is a plus Join our team as a Biller and contribute to the smooth operation of our medical office. Pay: $15.00 per hour
