Job Summary

BrightStar Care of Ventura & Oxnard is looking for compassionate and driven home health nursing assistants and caregivers who have the skills to provide the highest-quality care for our clients.

Responsibilities and Duties
- THIS POSITION REQUIRES THE STAFF TO DRIVE THE CLIENT TO BREAKFAST AND/OR DINNER EVERYDAY IN THE STAFF MEMBERS VEHICLE. YOU MUST HAVE A VALID DRIVERS LICENSE, INSURANCE AND A RELIABLE VEHICLE
- Work with a registered nurse and other clinicians to provide care based on an individualized plan of care.
- Record your patient’s health status and report it to the nurse.
- Provide companionship and personalized care while encouraging independence and self-care.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, including dressing, bathing, grooming, toileting, and eating.
- Provide mobility and transfer assistance, which may include using mechanical lift devices.
- Prepare meals and snacks. May include grocery shopping.
- Perform light housekeeping, including vacuuming, laundry, and linen changes.
- Assist with incontinence care.
- Assist with transportation needs.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- CPR certification
- Ability to lift at least 40 pounds
- Availability to work on weekends, evenings, and holidays
- Reliable transportation
- Valid driver’s license and insurance
- Must be available weekend.
- Must be able to pass a background check.
- Must have a clean driving record.
- Must have a TB Clearance
- Must have first aid /CPR
- Prior home health experience preferred, will consider facility based experience

Salary and Benefits
- $18.50- $22 per hour based on certification and experience
- Flexible schedule
- Weekly pay
