We’re actively looking for a server captain at ONH and we’re inviting YOU to join the fun Ojai Noodle House is a new addition to the Ojai Culinary Scene. Launched in december of 2023 ONH has quickly become a favorite spot for locals and tourists. Serving Vietnamese and regional favorites alongside an elaborate beer, wine and sake menu.

Minimum: 2 years full service restaurant experience (Preferred: 3-5 years restaurant experience)

Summary of Position:
Responsible for managing the guest’s overall dining experience by providing prompt, attentive table service. The server must be knowledgeable about the cuisine, techniques and ingredients utilized in menu preparation in order to guide the guest appropriately; works with a strong attention to detail and directs the activities of their support staff to ensure a friendly and casual dining experience.

Responsibilities & Duties:

- Exhibit sincere hospitality. Go above and beyond for every guest.
- Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment. Keep all areas clean and organized at all times.
- Be part of a team. Work together and be attentive to each other’s needs before, after and during the course of the shift.
- Graciously greet guests upon their arrival. Act as their main contact throughout the guests’ experience.
- Responsible for guiding guests through the menu and dining experience. In conjunction with the kitchen, finding solutions for guests with dietary restrictions and or food allergies.
- Strives for effective communication with chefs, managers, and sommeliers to enrich each guests’ satisfaction.
- Works with a sense of urgency to properly manage time and resources. Balances the guest experience with the needs of the restaurant.
- Demonstrates passion for details and a willingness to learn.
- Responsible for comprehensive menu knowledge and including ingredients, preparation and can accurately describe dishes to guests.
- Displays a strong knowledge of wine, spirits and craft beer. Can correctly explain grape varietals, styles of wine beers and cocktails. Can make educated beverage suggestions to guests to elevate their dining experience.
- Accurately input all orders into the point of sales.
- Deliver all food and beverage items from kitchen and bar per stated quality standards.
- Oversees fellow service team members to ensure steps of service, dining room maintenance, and guest satisfaction.
- Presents correct guest checks in a timely manner, receives payment and can quickly complete the transaction.
- Provide all appropriate paperwork such as signed guest receipts, manager voids, guest’s notes etc. at the end of each shift.
- Handles complaints with genuine concern and immediately notifies the manager on duty of any dissatisfied guest.
- Complete all opening, mid, and closing procedures; complete daily checklist and side-work assignments.
- Welcomes each guest with warm, graceful, friendly and caring nature. Gives a thoughtful and thankful farewell.
- Maintains a gracious, pleasant, and friendly attitude while being a contributor to a teamwork-based work environment.
- Responsible for designing an experience and environment to create lasting guest relationships.
- Attend all meetings required.
- Displays pride in appearance, grooming and upholds to stated uniform standards.
- Work in a safe manner and abide by Workplace Health & Safety standards and Food and Safety Hygiene standards.
- Adhere to the company policies regarding accident and incident reporting procedures.
- Perform all other duties assigned and requested by management.

Pay: $20.00 - $23.07 per hour
