**Responsibilities**
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements for the e-commerce website.
- Design and develop custom WordPress themes and plugins tailored to our specific needs.
- Implement and customize WooCommerce functionalities, including product catalogs, shopping carts, payment gateways, and order management systems.
- Optimize website performance for speed, scalability, and security.
- Ensure compatibility with various devices and browsers through responsive design techniques.
- Conduct thorough testing and debugging to ensure the website functions flawlessly across different environments.
- Stay updated on the latest trends and best practices in WordPress development and e-commerce technologies.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance as needed.
**Qualifications**
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Proven experience working as a WordPress Developer, with a focus on e-commerce projects.
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP.
- Strong understanding of WordPress architecture and ecosystem.
- Expertise in building and customizing WordPress themes and plugins.
- Experience with WooCommerce configuration and customization.
- Familiarity with web accessibility standards and SEO principles.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Strong communication skills and a customer-centric mindset.
**Preferred Qualifications**
- Experience with additional e-commerce platforms such as Shopify or Magento.
- Knowledge of web analytics tools such as Google Analytics.
- Familiarity with version control systems, preferably Git.
- Understanding of UI/UX principles and design best practices.
**Additional Details**
The base range for this contract position is $45 - $55/per hour, depending on experience.
Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hires of this position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
