Campus Aide III - **CARE** Outreach Aide (Food Pantry)**
One temporary, hourly position, 32-40 hours per week, working no more than 175 days in a fiscal year (July 1 - June 30) between the Oceanside Campus, Community Learning Center in Oceanside, and San Elijo Campus in Cardiff. The work schedule may be split and offered to more than one person.
The ideal work schedule will be Monday through Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm. Work schedule will change around September 2024 to accommodate increased operation hours of Monday through Wednesday 8:00 am - 7:00 pm and Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm; however, there is some flexibility regarding the schedule if the individual selected can work until 7:00 pm, Monday through Wednesday, and up to 40 hours per week.
Example of schedule changes for 2024:Monday through Wednesday 9:00 am - 7:00 pm, and Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm; or Monday through Wednesday 8:30 am - 7:00 pm, and Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm.

The Campus Assessment, Resources, & Education (CARE) Program is looking to start this position as early as August 2024 through June 2025 (_potential opportunities to extend assignment contingent on performance_).
**RESIDENCY** **REQUIREMENT**:
MiraCosta College Board Policy 7800: Employee Residency requires all classified staff, administrators, and temporary/hourly short-term employees to maintain and permanently reside in a principal place of residence in the state of California that is within two-hundred (200) road miles from the employees regularly assigned district worksite. The purpose of the policy is to promote efficiency and continuity throughout all campus administrative functions, provide students with high quality assistance and accessibility to all academic and campus services, ensure that students receive an engaging education, and respond to emerging student needs.
The District may consider an individual request to temporarily reside outside of the State of California or outside the 200-mile limit on a case-by-case basis, not to exceed twelve consecutive months.
**Salary Range**: N/A
**Compensation**:
$19.50 per hour.
Employees must make arrangements for the direct deposit of paychecks into the financial institution of their choice, via electronic fund transfer.
**Benefits**:
Short-term, temporary employees may be eligible for Healthy Families Sick Leave, and enrollment in a retirement system.

**Basic Function**:
**Campus Aide **III** - **CARE** Outreach Aide (Food Pantry)**
Under direction from the Student Services Coordinator, the CARE Outreach Aide (Campus Aide III) will help the CARE Program uplift a holistic approach to serving students who need assistance meeting their basic needs. The CARE Outreach Aide must possess the ability to provide care and supportive assistance to all students who access the Campus Food Pantry, food distribution events, CalFresh Application Assistance and other CARE related program events. The CARE Outreach Aide will be responsible for overseeing that that food procurement and food rescues efforts occur to maintain a fully stocked Campus Food Pantry.
