We are seeking a **Career Service Navigator** with lived experience as an immigrant or refugee to help support the work we do.

**Job Function**:
Under the general supervision of the Program Manager, the Career Navigator is responsible for delivering career and educational counseling, case management to Youth job seekers, who are eligible for Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act WIOA services.

**Position Objective**:
The Career Service Navigator (CSN) works with Adult or Youth Workforce Development clients from diverse backgrounds and lived experiences. The Career Service Navigator will ensure that clients receive the most efficient and professional customer service, guidance, and skill-based training to give them the best chance for success. The CSN will serve as a team player by maintaining open communication with staff and assisting other team members when needed.

**Responsibilities**:

- Perform outreach and recruitment for new WIOA clients.
- Collect documentation from clients as required sufficient to determine eligibility for services, consistent with applicable Federal, State, and Local requirements, guidelines, and policies.
- Assist clients with career exploration and career planning, job readiness activities, and in accessing educational, employment and training opportunities linked to career pathways that chart a course toward economic self-sufficiency.
- Build, manage, and support a caseload of eligible clients and facilitate their placement and participation in work-based learning and other training activities.
- Conduct an objective assessment of client needs and goals and develop an Individual Employment Plan that identifies educational and employment needs, barriers, and an action plan to meet those needs and barriers.
- Review and modify the Employment Plan to ensure ongoing, successful progress toward stated goals and desire.
- Implement prescribed program-related procedures and accurate case management.
- Provides ongoing case management and serves as a liaison between customers and service providers. - Provides guidance and other assistance to help the participant retain employment.
- Manages a comprehensive caseload.
- Provide all clients job search assistance and plan for transition to unsubsidized employment.
- Work with schools, employers, and training providers to ensure that participants are making progress
- Adhere to the Company's quality management system and protocols to ensure customer satisfaction, and program integrity and performance.
- Perform routine, detailed, timely and accurate data entry of narrative information and required data elements into the Career Connect and Salesforce database to ensure the full and proper tracking of all enrollments, and activities and services provided, and to document customer interactions and progress through various program components.
- Other duties as assigned to meet program and company objectives.

**Qualifications (skills, knowledge & abilities)**:

- Bachelors Degree in Social Service or related fieled or equivalent experience
- Excellent interpersonal skills and customer service orientation
- Strong working knowledge of personal computers and software.
- Must have a valid drivers license, reliable vehicle, and current bodily injury/liability insurance
- Ability to occassionally stand, bend, stoop, go up and down stairs, and lifting up to 20lbs.
- Bilingual language skills preferred
- Experience in career counseling and workforce development preferred.
- Experience working with low-income youth or adults preferred
- Knowledge of local community resources preferred.
