Brief Description
The PT Operations Training and Documentation Specialist is responsible for:

- Writing curricula and documentation for all areas of proficiency testing (PT) operations
- Organizing operations documentation for easy access across functional teams and in Reliance quality management system (QMS) software
- Establishing and implementing training approaches and practices
- Collaborating with management to develop training plans and maintaining a comprehensive set of the training and qualification processes for PT operations staff according to the department’s guidelines
- Designing and ensuring delivery of the standard operating procedures (SOP’s) for job-specific roles
- Assisting in developing, designing, and ensuring the competency model and assessment is conducted on an annual basis
- Adhering to QMS guidelines as well as CAP style
- Provide support to PT editorial staff, as needed

Specific Duties

**Primary duties and responsibilities**:

- Writes clear and organized curricula and documentation for all areas of proficiency testing (PT) operations.
- Ensures delivery of job-specific standard operating procedures that are consistent, complete, and properly indexed for ease of use for PT operations.
- Ensures documentation is updated on time, according to the Reliance schedule.
- Collaborates with staff in department to seek and incorporate feedback into documentation.
- Creates framework for operations documentation and helpful tools for training and production needs.
- Coordinates and participates in new employee onboarding and department onboarding for current employees
- Develops and implements training practices and evaluations
- Tracks and reports training status and completion on monthly basis
- Maintains records of training documentation and competency assessments
- Ensures understanding of training and effective transfer of knowledge and skills
- Maintains and updates department-specific library consisting of reference materials, videos, publications, photos, etc.
- Develops a detailed competency management system, utilizing existing structure and improving it.

- Must be able to see concepts at a high-level and demonstrate an ability to assess the impact on processes and the business as a whole.

**Technical**:
Education/Experience
Education
- College degree preferred or relevant 2-4 years of experience

Experience
- Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in related role

Related certifications
- Relevant training and/or certifications as a Documentation Specialist preferred
