Active on leading US exchanges, Optiver's Chicago office trades a wide range of products from listed derivatives to cash equities, ETFs, bonds and foreign exchange.
**What you'll do**:
- Communicate real-time trade information from CBOE's SPX pit to Optiver's in-house trading floor
- Report on Optiver Floor Trader's decisions and execution
- Analyze and assign importance to floor information queue to enhance Optiver's trading decisions
- Act as facilitator and intermediary between in-house Trading team and exchange-based Floor Traders
- Coordinate information flow amongst Optiver's Floor Traders
- Maintain and update S&P Trading team's visualization and graphics enhancements
- Build skills and trading acumen as a Floor Trader trainee
- Track trading strategies and report on profit and loss (PnL) results
**Who you are**:
- Hold a bachelor's degree (required)
- Possess a high aptitude with mathematics
- Have a working knowledge of financial instruments, trading exchanges and markets
- Excellent communicator and team player
- Able to make lightning-quick decisions
- Programming experience in Python or VBA is preferred
- Legal authorization to work in the United States is required; we will not sponsor individuals for employment authorization for this job opening
