**_Mission: _**Center on Halsted advances community and secures the health and well-being of the (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer) LGBTQ people of Chicagoland.

**_ Essential Functions: _**The Development Services Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day management of the donor database, gift administration, and implementation of donor tracking systems, policies, and procedures to support fundraising. The position reports to the Director of Major Gifts and Individual Giving.

**Duties**:

- Implement best practices related to gift processing, acknowledgements, recognition, donor records, stewardship, information tracking, and reports.
- Process electronic, cash, check, and other donations.
- Ensure all data is entered into Raiser's Edge in an accurate and timely manner; process all revenue, gift acknowledgments, pledges, fulfillments, and receipts in a timely manner.
- Serve as Raiser’s Edge/NXT database administrator, maintain user accounts and security, train users on utilization, confidentiality, and processes as needed, ensure compliance with organizational gift and record coding protocols, create online special events and program forms as needed using NXT or other giving platforms.
- Create and maintain accurate queries, reports, batches, exports, mailing lists, and dashboards to support fundraising.
- Alongside Director of Major Gifts and Individual Giving, perform routine and ad hoc maintenance on database to maintain integrity an accuracy
- Establish ongoing routine of reports and tasks to assist Development team including gift reporting, acknowledgment letters, list management, and portfolio assignments
- Alongside Director of Major Gifts and Individual Giving, create workflow automations to maximize fundraising including welcome messaging, renewal notices, event communications, and donor birthdays.
- Import data into NXT accurately.
- Write and maintain donor acknowledgement letters and collaborate with Development team to ensure timely acknowledgement of all gifts
- Alongside Development leadership, identify areas of improvement related to data management to optimize database health
- Create donor and prospect profiles using research tools such as wealth screening product, research software, and internet search
- Update constituent records with current addresses and contact information.
- Supervise development volunteers: coordinate data entry assignments and monitor quality of work.
- Respond to donor requests for gift histories, acknowledgements, refunds and other needs, providing outstanding responsiveness and service.
- Assist with the planning and execution of donor stewardship activities and fundraising events, including creating and spearheading registration and check-in procedures and gift fulfillment.
- Provide support/registration for special events and donor cultivation and stewardship events. This may require work outside of daily business hours.
- Reconcile monthly reports with Finance department.
- Maintain knowledge of best practices in donor operations, including basic understanding of charitable gift tax deduction rules and donor bill of rights
- Other duties as assigned.

Skills/Qualifications
- One year of related professional experience
- Outstanding computer competence, including proficiency with Microsoft Office (MS Word, Excel, etc.), and online research skills.
- Experience and proficiency with CRMs or contribution management software; demonstrated understanding of database logic and structure. Experience with Blackbaud, Raiser’s Edge, and NXT a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to work comfortably and effectively with donors, volunteers, staff and diverse community groups
- Outstanding ethics, discretion, and judgment; ability to adhere to professional standards and follow established procedures
- Highly organized and detail oriented
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to work with creativity and resourcesfulness approach
- Ability to think independently, anticipate consequences and trends, and incorporate knowledge into your work
- Ability to multi-task, work independently and prioritize tasks
- Experience with LGBTQ+ communities and values; commitment to the mission of Center on Halsted
- Bilingual skills (Spanish / English) desirable
