Child Care Center Director

Learn & Play Academy is hiring a Center Director and Co-Director to manage our day-to-day operations and establish and sustain a positive learning environment for our children. You will oversee the coordination of education programs that comply with local and federal regulations, ensure that facilities are maintained, manage and support a complement of daycare staff, and manage the center's financial affairs.
The successful applicant will have demonstrable experience in managing all aspects of a daycare center, as well as strong leadership skills. You should display a friendly demeanor, have a love for children, and strive to create a supportive and encouraging environment for both children and teachers. Early childhood development experience is a plus.
**Responsibilities**:
- Administration and management of the center
- Safety and protection of the children
- Development and Implementation of policies and procedures
- Communication with parents about the policies and procedures of the center
- Staff hiring, supervision and ongoing professional development
- Compliance with all applicable laws and regulations of the child care center
- Maintain a professional appearance, attitude, and work ethic at all times.
Qualification:
- Bachelor's degree in early childhood, child development, child psychology or related field that includes at least 18 credits in child development, child psychology or related field that includes at 18 credit hours in child development and/or early childhood education
- An associate's degree in early childhood education, child development, child psychology, or a related field, that includes at least 18 credit hours in child development and/or early childhood education with 6 months work experience in a licensed, approved or registered facility
- A diploma in child development/early childhood education with 6 months work experience in a licensed, approved or registered child care facility.
- A high school diploma or GED, and Early Childhood Development (ECD) 101 with 3 years experience in a licensed, approved or registered child care facility. One year shall include supervision of child care staff.
