Sole Dental NYC is a leading general dentistry practice located in Astoria, NY. We are a small but growing practice with great people and are looking for a dedicated and hardworking dental assistant to join our team. Dental assistants should be friendly, prompt, and have the ability to work well with others. We have an on site dentist that can give you hands on training in general dentistry. We are looking for someone who is motivated, reliable, and has the ability to work well with others.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Assist the dentist in providing dental treatment to patients including preparing patients for treatments, cleaning their teeth and removing dental equipment and instruments.
- Prepare patients for treatments by taking their measurements and measurements from previous appointments.
- Take X-rays of teeth and impressions of teeth using our latest technology.
- Take impressions of teeth for lab orders as needed.
- Perform dental charting as needed.
**Skills**:
- Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods.
- Knowledge of health & safety regulations (e.g., Avi-d)
**Benefits**:
- Competitive pay with performance-based bonuses (based on performance).
Pay: From $19.00 per hour
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
**Experience**:
- Dental assisting: 1 year (preferred)
License/Certification:
- X-Ray Certification (preferred)
Ability to Commute:
- Astoria, NY 11103 (preferred)
