Full-Time Non-exempt
Hours: 6:30 am-5:00 pm; M-F

SUMMARY
Metro Green’s Scale House Operator is a clerical position, that will be responsible for accurately and efficiently maintaining the day-to-day operations and administrative functions associated with the operation of the scale(s). This position requires effective bilingual communication with drivers, customers, and staff. The role requires a detailed-oriented individual to maintain focus in a fast-paced work environment.

JOB DUTIES:

- **Must be punctual and dependable.**
- Coordinate the operations of scales in weighing and tracking, utilize scale computer and software program to enter inbound and outbound truck loads.
- Communicate with company drivers and third-party vehicle vendors to identify incoming and outbound materials.
- Manage company transaction receipts and provide customer receipts of payment
- Ensure accurate recordkeeping of invoices.
- Handle cash, check and credit card transactions.
- Screen incoming and outgoing loads while directing vehicles entering and leaving the site.
- Follow and support all company policies and procedures, including attendance.
- Follows and supports safety and OSHA regulations and requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

- Bilingual-Spanish **(MUST)**:

- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Excellent organizational skills and a positive and professional demeanor.
- Ability to problem-solve and to work independently.
- Attentive and results-oriented with outstanding relationship management skills.
- Possess basic mathematics aptitude to count and troubleshoot.
- Experience in clerical functions preferred.

Metro Green is one of the largest recycling centers in Atlanta, Georgia. With multiple locations in Georgia, we process the debris resulting from construction, renovation, repair and demolition of commercial buildings, houses, roads, bridges and other structures. We accept construction demolition debris and materials such as concrete, rock, wood, cardboard, drywall, metal and carpet.
