**Minimum Qualifications**:

- Degree in Elementary, Secondary, or Special Education
- A minimum of three (3) years of experience in a district or school setting
- Demonstrated success in planning, coordinating, and collaborating with a variety of stakeholders
- Demonstrated success in meeting compliance and timeline expectations
- Knowledge and experience in managing grant-funded programs and related budgets (_preferred_)
- Demonstrated leadership experience in schools or central office, including oversight of projects or professional development initiatives (_preferred_)
- Excellent organizational, written, communication and problem-solving/creative thinking skills.
- Performs other duties/tasks as assigned.

**About the Role**:
Why the role exists:
The Grant Specialist assists the Director of School Leadership and Federal Programs in effectively managing the three (3) phases of a grant cycle for local, state, and federal funds:

- Project implementation monitoring, and
- Post-award review and completion reporting.

The specialist serves as a support for schools regarding monitoring, data gathering, training, budget management and improvement planning for state and federally funded programs.

We’re looking for someone who is an active collaborator, highly motivated, visionary and innovator leader for this role. The specialist works under the direction of the Director of School Leadership and Federal Programs to create a seamless PreK-8th grade learning community. The specialist assists the Director in creating a climate of professional collaboration and sharing of best practices by establishing structures that foster shared learning, information and resource exchanges.

Responsibilities & Deliverables:
The Grant Specialist will assist the Director of School Leadership and Federal Programs in their effort to evolve the way that learning experiences are designed by effectively utilizing grants and other out-of-district funding sources to positively impact student achievement. This role will be a liaison for the Director of School Leadership and Federal Programs to help them create a stronger district support structures to ensure grant-funding is used so that all students are achieving to their fullest potential.

The role will be responsible for proactively identifying information that has the potential to be impactful and elevate issues along with resolution options to the director in a timely manner. A key component of this is providing independen
