- DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Guide the learning process toward the achievement of Conroe ISD’s Dual Language Two
- Way Bilingual Program curriculum goals.
- Develop and implement lesson plans that fulfill the requirements of district’s curriculum program and Dual Language Two-Way Bilingual Program in both English and/or Spanish. Demonstrate written evidence of preparation as required.
- Assist in the development of curriculum for the Conroe ISD’s Dual Language Two-Way Bilingual Program.
- Prepare lessons that effectively differentiate both content and language learning through the use of accommodations for differences in student learning styles.
- Structure activities in the classroom to facilitate oral language production and comprehension in the target language and/or English.
- Plan and use appropriate instructional and learning strategies, activities, materials, and equipment that reflect understanding of the learning styles and needs of students assigned in both English and/or Spanish.
- Conduct assessment of student learning styles and use results to plan instructional activities in both English and/or Spanish.
- Work cooperatively with special education teachers to modify curricula as needed for special education students according to guidelines established in Individual Education Plans (IEP).
- Work with other members of staff to determine instructional goals, objectives, and methods according to district requirements.
- Plan and supervise assignments of teacher aide(s) and volunteer(s).
- Use technology to strengthen the teaching/learning process.
- Help students analyze and improve study methods and habits.
- Conduct ongoing assessment of student achievement through formal and informal testing in both English and/or Spanish.
- Assume responsibility for extracurricular activities as assigned. Sponsor outside activities approved by the campus principal.
- Be a positive role model for students, and support mission of school district.
- Create classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate for the physical, social, and emotional development of students.
- Manage student behavior in accordance with Student Code of Conduct and student handbook.

**ASSIGNMENTS TO VIRTUAL INSTRUCTION**:

- Seamlessly integrate District-approved online learning platforms and required software into the planning, delivery, and support of virtual instruction.
- Plan, prepare, implement, and evaluate lessons and activities during the standard work hours of the campus at which the teacher is assigned, as well as prolonged or irregular hours.
