The position is crucial for the success of the program and will work in collaboration with the Principal Investigator, project leadership, Project Manager, and other study coordinators. - The Research Assistant will take a lead role in community asset mapping for the local program._

**Specific Duties & Responsibilities**
- Assist with the implementation and conduct of clinical research protocols, especially mapping of community assets and engagement with related stakeholders.
- Identify community assets, interview stakeholders, and preparing data for mapping and resource guides.
- Prepare materials for others to learn about community asset mapping.
- Maintains confidentiality of patient and research study records.
- Carries out all study duties in accordance with study protocols and procedures as well as local and federal regulations.
- Participate in data analyses.
- Assist with composing and submitting manuscripts for peer-reviewed publication of research.
- Prepare and present research for national and international conferences.
- Attends internal and external trainings, workshops, conferences, and other relevant programs for growth and development.

**Special Knowledge, Skills & Abilities**
- Requires a high degree of self-motivation and the ability to function independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work for periods of time without direction.
- Ability to work with flexibility on several tasks simultaneously and to meet various concurrent deadlines.
- Very strong organizational skills, analytical and problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail.
- Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written.
- Ability to work with populations across ages, sexual orientations, socio-economic circumstances.
- Excellent computer skills including proficiency in MS word, Excel and Power Point.

**Minimum Qualifications**
- Bachelor's Degree in related discipline.
- Additional related experience may substitute for required education, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.
