**Job Summary and Qualifications**:
1. Serves as the Team Leader to ensure efficient operation of the department.
2. Serves as a resource and mentor for staff in the clinical area.
3. Assumes responsibility for decisions and actions in the lead clinical role.
4. Provides opportunities for employee development.
5. Communicates effectively with staff, peers, external and internal customers.
6. Monitors staffing to volumes.
7. Utilizes quality improvement as basis to improve department processes.
8. Assists with thorough and complete orientation of all incoming personnel, utilizing the department orientation plan and ensuring all aspects of the orientation process are completed in a timely manner.
9. Maintains readiness for regulatory surveys.
10. Demonstrates clinical competence to practice within the departments’ scope of service.
11. Communicates effectively with leadership, staff, peers, and physicians.
12. Assists with departmental Quality Initiatives, outcomes management projects, and other hospital initiatives in compliance with Federal, State, and Joint Commission regulatory/accreditation bodies. Functions effectively as a team member, triage, charge nurse and preceptor.
13. Pursues own professional growth and development.
14. Other duties as assigned.
**What qualifications you will need**:
- Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Basic Cardiac Life Support, or CPR must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
