Warehouse Shipping Supervisor

Proven 5 years of experience in team management within a distribution center setting
- Knowledge of shipping processes
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed
- Familiarity with shipping and warehouse procedures
- Proficiency in logistics operations and warehouse management systems
- Experience operating forklifts and other material handling equipment
- Understanding of OSHA regulations for workplace safety

Job Overview:
**Responsibilities**:
Manage and lead a team of shipping personnel
Coordinate daily shipping tasks
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of orders
- Implement safety protocols and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations
- Utilize forklifts and other equipment for material handling
- Monitor shipments to meet customer expectations
- Collaborate with other departments to optimize logistics operations
- Maintain the work area and equipment in clean and orderly condition.
- Report defective material or questionable condition to the department Manager.
- Contribute and adhere to safety and quality.
- Communicate status of operation in a timely manner.
- Examine work for exactness, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures.
- Study and standardize procedures to improve efficiency of workers.
- Maintain harmony among workers and resolve grievances.
- Ensure correct shipment of international orders.
- Assist employees with work process problems.
- Loading and unloading trucks by hand and/or forklift

**Skills**:

- Bilingual preferred (English/ Spanish)
- At least 5 years of shipping experience
- Previous leadership experience a plus
- Must be able to follow detailed instructions
- Must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time
- Must be authorized to work in the US
- Emphasizes personal and professional growth. Keep knowledge and skills current.
- Be able to handle and inspect small and complex orders
- Focus on work and minimize interruptions
- Prioritize, work well under time pressure, and focus on work in midst of noise
- Maintain a good, cooperative, and respectful attitude
- Comply with safety laws and regulations
- Job function requires excellent vision
- Must be able to perform basic physical tasks such as lifting 50lb.
