Job Summary:
Primus Temporary Housing, located in Oak Brook, Illinois, offers full-service emergency temporary housing services to personal-line insurance carriers. We provide these services in all 50 states, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We find it very rewarding to be helping during a difficult event for our insureds, often fire or flood. There is a lot of coordination and detail work in this activity - it is a service business, so employees have to bring their “A” game every day. We need from you: high motivation, a positive attitude, problem-solving skills, and lots of attention to detail. This position reports to our Oak Brook office, Monday thru Friday.

Primus is searching for a full-time Accounting Specialist to work on general accounting, invoicing and AR/AP. The work will consist of billing and resolving accounts with vendors’ and customers’ invoices and payments to and from the company, return of security deposits and other accounting duties, as assigned. This person will work directly with our finance team.

Our accounting work is typical for a QuickBooks Online-based business with commercial customers and it does not involve consumer collections as we do not sell to consumers. This position requires customer contact, so you need to have good communications skills, written and verbal, with other professionals. Our transactions reflect our quality of work, so a team attitude is essential.

Responsibilities include:

- A/R, A/P
- Invoicing
- Updating customer database with accounting-related data
- Error-checking reconciliations as directed by senior staff
- Generating reports and error-checking
- Coordinating security deposit returns
- Other duties, as required

4-year bachelor’s degree or equivalent accounting experience is required.

QuickBooks experience is required.

Insurance industry or related experience is helpful.

Salary depends on experience. Full-time benefits include paid time off, vacation, 401(k), and BCBS health coverage.

Pay: $48,000.00 - $52,000.00 per year
