**Position Summary**:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as an Associate Director, Grants and Research Administration. The Associate Director for Grants and Research Administration provides senior level programmatic and administrative support for all scientific and translational program initiatives of the Perlmutter Cancer Center (PCC). This position will oversee the development and management of the NCI-funded Cancer Center Support Grant (CCSG) and the planning process to implement the scientific agenda for PCC. Working with the Senior Director, PCC Administration and the PCC Director, the Associate Director for Grants and Research Administration will assist in developing and implementing the research strategic plan of PCC. The position entails sophisticated coordination of various needs across the entire Perlmutter Cancer Center, strategic planning, providing general administrative duties, planning and overseeing retreats and programmatic initiatives, scheduling and staffing meetings, managing membership, and other projects and events as assigned.

**Responsibilities**:
Cancer Center Support Grant (CCSG)
- Coordinates and maintains all CCSG/NCI reporting requirements:

- Working with DART and Shared Resource leaders to obtain and compile all required data, and ensuring the accuracy and reliability of these data;
- Working with the PCC CTO and Program Leaders to compile all summary reports and publication information;
- Maintaining PCC membership; supporting membership committee, tracking membership, and maintaining the content of the Membership intranet site;
- Data management related to PCC Administrative Tool (PCC-AT) to manage PCC members, grant funding, publications and shared resources)
- Assists PCC Director and Senior Director, PCC Research Administration in development and production of presentations and materials for the NCI as requested.
- As requested by the Senior Director, PCC Research Administration, coordinate with PCC Operations (e.g., financial staff) to review and request changes to the CCSG budget.

Research Administration
- Under the direction of the Director and the Senior Director, PCC Research Administration, develops and implements PCC’s research strategic plan and appropriate institutional and external policies, requirements and procedures;
- Oversees the pre-award grant process for PCC Faculty and relevant PCC members as applicable
- Ensures timely submission of proposals
- Identifies and communicates funding opportunities
- Tracking of pending and planned grant submissions
- Assists in the development of large multi-investigator grants
- Oversees internal grants management processes for PCC funded research projects; staffs and supports related Committee
- Responsible for ensuring the accuracy and functionality of content on the PCC research Website.

Laboratory Operations
- Oversee the administrative operations of the PCC laboratories and research functions.
- Supervise staff that provide all aspects of administrative support to faculty and lab personnel, including purchasing, financial management, expense reimbursements and space management.

Program Planning and Development
- Under the direction of the Senior Director, PCC Research Administration, implements inter
- and intra-programmatic initiatives of PCC to strengthen the platform for collaboration and translational science.
- Staffs and supports research related meetings; this includes coordination of travel, agenda preparation, compiling meeting materials, budget management, and operational logistics and planning (e.g. External Advisory Board (EAB), scientific retreats and program meetings).

Management of Staff
- Supervises Senior Grants Manager, Administrative Coordinator, Laboratory Operations Coordinator
- Works with Senior Director, PCC Research Administration to ensure staffing levels are appropriate to support Research Administration.

**Minimum Qualifications**:
To qualify you must have a Bachelors degree in Business, Health Administration or a related discipline, (Masters degree required), and a minimum of four
