InterMetro Industries Corporation is seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk for our Corporate HQ located in Wilkes-Barre, PA. The Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for monitoring the vendor invoices that are processed through the OCR software (DataServ) system. This system allows invoices to automatically upload to our ERP system. In addition, this role will manage exceptions in a timely manner for them to be processed and paid within terms. The Accounts Payable Clerk works with various areas of the company to problem solve issues related to PO's related to vendor invoices.

**Primary Responsibilities**:

- Ensure the timely processing of invoices through the DataServ software.
- Monitor the various exception queues within DataServ.
- Weekly interaction with various departments and locations to resolve any invoice discrepancies.
- Assure all invoices are prioritized in order to realize vendor discounts.
- Verifying vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies on vendor accounts.
- Prepare and process weekly expense reports.
- Participate in the weekly on-hold meetings.
- Assist with the management of aged payables to assure compliance with best practices.
- File, maintain and distribute accounting documents, records and reports.
- Prepare and process payment run (EFT and/or Check).
- Verify approval on all invoices and check request.
- Update and maintain vendor database (address, payment method, federal ID number, etc).
- Effectively communicate with vendors and fellow colleagues as needed.
- Possesses knowledge and understanding of the Code of Business Ethics. Contributes to a workplace environment that is conducive to the maintenance of the Code. Remains alert and sensitive to situations that could result in actions by an employee that are illegal, unethical, in violation of the Code or the policies and procedures that support the Code. Reports actual or perceived violations of the Code or Company policies and procedures for appropriate action.
