Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a **Manufacturing Manager** to join our dynamic team in **Huntington Beach, California**.
**Position Responsibilities**:
- Manages employees performing activities in multiple manufacturing disciplines.
- Develops and executes business plans, policies and procedures and develops organizational and technical strategies.
- Acquires resources, provides technical management of personnel, and leads process improvements.
- Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, and direct reports.
- Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.
- Institutes and complies with lean practices throughout the manufacturing area.
- Manages, develops and motivates employees.
**This position is for 1st shift.**
**This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. **(An Interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post Start is required.)
**Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)**:
- More than 1 year of experience leading or managing projects and/or teams.
- More than 1 year of experience in implementing lean methodologies and productivity improvements.
**Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)**:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher.
- More than 1 year of experience demonstrating people management skills to include coaching, teaching, mentoring.
- More than 1 year of work experience leading or managing cross functional teams.
- More than 1 year of experience supporting Boeing Operations - Materials Management, Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain Operations, Supplier Management.
- More than 1 year of experience working in or supporting a manufacturing environment.
- More than 1 year of experience in using Lean+ and/or Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) tools.
- More than 1 year of experience with Quality Management Systems and/or One Boeing Production System (One BPS).
**Typical Education/Experience**:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience, 9 years' related work experience, etc.)

Summary pay range: $103,700 - $140,300
