Applications are now being accepted for the tenure-track faculty position of Assistant Professor, Radiologic Technology, beginning Fall 2024 (classes begin August 2024) at San Diego Mesa College.

Under the direction of the Dean of the School of Health Sciences and Public Service, the Radiologic Technology Program Director assures effective program operations, oversees ongoing program assessment, participates in budget planning, maintains current knowledge of the professional discipline and educational methodologies through continuing professional development, and assumes the leadership role in the continued development of the program.

The Program Director is responsible for:

- Maintaining JRCERT Accreditation and California Department of Public Health - Radiologic Health Branch Accreditation.
- Assuring effective program operations, overseeing ongoing program assessment, participating in budget planning, maintaining current knowledge of the professional discipline and educational methodologies through continuing professional development, and assuming the leadership role in the continued development of the program.
- Participating in program instruction and working with the Department Chairperson and Dean to prepare the program's budget, develop and coordinate curriculum development activities, and recommend individuals for faculty instructional assignments.
- Playing a leadership role in maintaining community involvement and performing community outreach activities.
- Planning and operating program facilities to maintain instructional currency, interacting with the development of the instructional abilities of the clinical and classroom faculty, and maintaining ongoing interaction with the external agencies that define the program parameters.

**Qualifications**:

- A master's degree from an accredited college or university; AND,
- Three (3) years of experience in diagnostic radiologic technology; AND,
- A qualified practitioner who holds the following certifications: ARRT Radiography, CDPH-RHB Radiography, and CDPH-RHB Fluoroscopy; AND,
- Two (2) years of experience as a JRCERT accredited program instructor.
