**Gateways Hospital and Mental Health Center**
Gateways Hospital and Mental Health Center located in Los Angeles, is a non-profit organization that provides an array of comprehensive mental health services for Children, Adolescents, Transitional Aged Youth, and Adults suffering from mental illness in the Greater Los Angeles area. The organization consists of a standalone fifty five (55) bed hospital and six outlying outpatient facilities that have anywhere from fourteen (14) beds to one hundred and thirty four (134) beds. The organization has approximately four hundred (400) employees.
We are hiring a motivated **Occupational Therapist **responsible for developing and implementing an adjunctive therapy program for the adolescent and adult inpatients. The OTR is responsible for assessing patients, facilitating groups, developing treatment goals and completing documentation in the EMR system.
**Minimum Experience Required**
- Delivery of Psychiatric Occupational Therapy services to adolescent and adult patients.
**Minimum Education Required**
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited college or university.
**Minimum Certification/Licensure Required**
- Current registration with the American Occupational Therapy Certification Board
**Essential Skills**
- Ability to communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to plan and lead Occupational Therapy groups.
- Excellent language and communication skills.
- Ability to make decisions and work independently when circumstances warrant.
**Physical Strength**
- Light work: able to lift a maximum of 20 pounds
Location: Los Angeles / Gateways Hospital and Mental Health Center / Adjunctive Therapy Department
Status: Per Diem / Non-Exempt / Union
