- **POSITION OVERVIEW**_

Swim Club Management Group, the premier swimming pool management company in the Carolinas, Southern VA, and Tennessee, provides service to high end clients and country clubs. We are looking for our next General Manager in Richmond, VA. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is looking for growth with a company.
- **ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES**_
- Assist in the oversight of day-to-day operations, ensuring efficient and effective pool management, delivery of pool construction, maintenance, and repair services
- Work directly with the General Manager to maintain budgets and optimize expenses
- Work directly with recruitment and training of new employees to ensure strong retention of lifeguards.
- Work with the staffing department to coordinate proper staffing and ensure correct all client locations operational hours are scheduled
- Train, develop, and support all direct reports to establish their adherence to the company policies, procedures and high standards.
- Anticipate client expectations, seasonal changes within the business approach, staffing needs/changes and make appropriate strategic adjustments accordingly.
- Conduct regular daily site inspections of all managed areas in order to maintain safety, risk management, customer service (client, resident, guest, member) and the company’s standards.
- Attend Board meetings and maintain /cultivate relationships with all relevant parties and key decision makers.
- Create and ensure a safety first culture that is apparent in every operation daily.
- Ensure all operation procedures and first rate practices are being demonstrated at every location.
- Ability to open pools, clean pools on a regular basis, adjust pool chemicals, backwash pools, and perform minor repairs on pools.
- **REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS**_
- Proven experience in the aquatics field with 2-3 years of experience preferred
- Background in the aquatics or similar industry preferred
- Strong analytical ability
- Excellent communication skills
- Outstanding organizational and leadership skills
- Problem-solving aptitude
- **PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS**_
- Sitting, standing, and walking
- Prolonged use of computers involved; use of hands and finger coordination
- Working outdoors for prolonged periods of time
- Carrying, pushing, pulling, and lifting 50+ lbs
