The Quality Specialist, Production is a member of the Quality Department and is responsible for the inspection and/or audit of vehicle build with adherence to documented processes and quality inspection criteria. Quality work teams are responsible for keeping production flowing, for meeting performance goals and for maintaining the high-level of quality that consumers expect from our products. This is a “safety sensitive” position; therefore, the employee must adhere to all OSHA and Standard Operating Procedures that have been put into place.

**JOB FUNCTIONS**:

- Compilation of metric data including, but not limited to, defect collection
- Analyze defect data to determine root cause and identify corrective action
- Implementation of corrective actions in conjunction with production and other stake
- holder departments through utilization of lean six sigma tools
- Formation of control plans to ensure quality gains are maintained in both short and long term
- Creation and maintenance of quality process instructions and inspection criteria
- Application of 6S and lean tools to foster overall Lean maturity
- Ability and willingness to work overtime or modified shift hours
- Must be comfortable working in teams and interacting with personnel from other departments
- Self-motivation and the ability to assist other members of the QC team perform their duties
- Other duties as required by operational needs

**SAFETY**
- Quality personnel will conduct all business in accordance with company policies and procedures, and all state and federal regulations (such as 6S, Lean Manufacturing, OSHA, etc.). Bring concerns to the attention of your Supervisor, Operations Director, Safety Manager or HR Director.
- Quality personnel must ensure that all workplace safety standards and practices are upheld
- Quality personnel must always adhere to the PPE requirements

**ENVIRONMENT**:

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The employee is also exposed to a variety of extreme weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud while on the production line.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is constantly required to stand, walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.

**KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES**:

- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to read and understand blueprints and schematics
- Ability to read, learn and understand instructions, both written and verbal, in English
- Ability to use measurement tools such as calipers and micrometers

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Valid driver’s license required; clean driving record must be maintained
- Strong analytical and organizational skills required
- Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate and organize effectively
- Intermediate Microsoft Office computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Strong attention to detail, quality focused and willingness to learn
- Honest, ethical and handles things in a professional manner
- Positive attitude, enthusiastic, team player, multi-tasking, driven and results-minded
- Background in quality control desired
- Bilingual a plus

Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour

Work setting:

- In-person
