**Position Overview**

This role is a critical part of our product development and delivery process while facilitating the scrum/agile practices across multiple teams. Your primary goal will be to drive coordination among engineering teams, dev-ops and stakeholders and to align all groups toward speedy, high quality releases while adapting industry best practices for agile delivery and execution.

As a Release Manager at VERRA, you will have the opportunity to drive the management of releases processes throughout the lifecycle of development, test, and deployment by collaborating with all stakeholders in the software development process, while improving the tooling and processes for building and deploying software at high velocity while providing its visual status on readiness and release to all stakeholders. You are a technical manager with enough functional & process experience to understand the components of the release and how their technical complexity affects the release schedule and risks.

You will demonstrate exceptional management skills and technical expertise, and collaborate with engineering managers & teams to define release plan with recovery process & manage the delivery of releases while ensuring issue triage and resolution. You will define and facilitate release criteria and drive release quality metrics improvements. You will communicate the current release status and process improvements in a timely manner.

**What you'll need**
- Drive coordination among engineering teams and stakeholders and align all groups toward high quality releases throughout the entire fast-paced release lifecycle
- As needed, drive end to end business critical patches to help us meet our innovation goals
- Identify release quality criteria and drive the quality sign off process for each release
- Manage execution of the deployment plan during production deployment, including fielding of deployment issues, escalations, and contingencies, acting as the primary point of contact throughout the deployment execution
- Communicate regular release readiness, status, post-release action items, and other release information to the internal audience.
- Assist Support with release updates for communication
- Own any release-related communication, and maintain schedules, release landing pages, and calendar entries
- Monitor progress of phases by employing appropriate metrics and management reporting
- Facilitate all release-related meetings
- Leads, facilitates, and optimizes at agile train/portfolio level, with understanding of broader organizational goals. Act as a Release train engineer (RTE) for the organization and/or multi-teams.
- Champion impediment removal at the organization level. Serves as the Lean-Agile champion and change agent to their aligned program or value stream
- Runs and facilitates various train/organizational ceremonies.

**What we're looking for**
- 10+ years’ experience working directly with engineering teams
- 5+ years of experience in Product/Program Management, Quality Engineering, or Software Development
- Technical experience & background with.Net framework, Azure DevOps and Azure Cloud
- Outstanding organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Team player with a passion for new technologies and creative solutions
- Proven track record of operating effectively and autonomously across multiple teams in situations of extreme ambiguity, with only high-level direction
- Experience in an on-demand environment, with Agile development and 24x7 operations
- Experience in managing scrum masters
- Experience in creating dashboards in Azure DevOps and write Power BI scripts
- At least one advanced training/certification completed from a reputable Lean/agile organization (CSM, CSP, SPS, SAFe SPC, ICAgile Professional - Agile Team Facilitation (ICP-ATF), ICAgile Professional - Agile Coaching (ICP-ACC)).
