- The primary responsibilities of this position will consist of assisting in the day to day management of the parts department and its employees. Responsibilities will also include directing and developing employees.
- If you are hard-working, passionate, and determined, then Cornerstone Automotive Group is for you The Parts Manager is responsible to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of the parts department, including maintaining the profitability of the parts department.
- **The Job**:

- Supervise, lead and motivate parts employees to assist all customers (retail and shop) in selecting required parts in a friendly, professional, and efficient manner
- Ensure counter staff keep abreast of and Inform customers of companion part requirements and specials, and ensures that the customer is exposed to the full product line
- Answers incoming phone calls, handles any overflow from either the front or back counter
- During peak time assist other Parts, Counterperson, with customers/technicians as needed. Perform a back-up function to either front or back parts counter
- Assist any customer or salesperson with Accessory quote or purchase, during peak times when Accessory Specialist is busy or away from office
- Provide accurate price quotes to customers and Technicians in a timely fashion ensure ALL options are exhausted when sourcing parts (i.e. alternate warehouse, other dealers, etc.)
- Monitor lost sales and report to Fixed Ops Manager, advise on out-of-stock conditions, if stocking levels need to be increased or decreased based on volume sales
- Ensure all open invoices and back-order parts are being monitored and reviewed regularly, Parts Manager to be advised on all conditions that exceed 30 days. Customers are to be contacted on a regular basis to update status and contacted again when required parts arrive
- Ensure orderly records are kept of all repair orders, invoices, insurance estimates, and special order parts
- Help keep front and rear counter areas clean and uncluttered
- Participates in all training programs that are made available
- Keeps current on new products and product updates
- Maintains professional appearance at all times
- Weekly/monthly departmental reports, approve and submit any employee overtime to payroll
- Yearly (or as required) goal setting and performance management/development of Parts department employees

**The Qualifications**:

- Responsible for the recruitment, selection, supervision and discipline of parts department employees, processes and procedures in a positive and professional manner to ensure all business goals are achieved
- 2+ years of experience in a similar role/automotive industry is preferred
- Retail sales experience is a definite asset as position requires sales aptitude, relationship building skills, communication and customer service skills
- Ability to delegate tasks and maintain a high level of organization is essential
